You can enter at either lower or raised ground level. For the purpose of our tour we’ll start at the bottom; the entrance is tucked neatly under the front steps, opposite which you’ll find a handy external cupboard. In the house and to your immediate right is a slim cupboard and to your left is a huge double-reception of 26 feet in length and with a cool, tiled floor. At the foot of the room is a neat fitted kitchen where you’ll find the part-glazed back door. The corridor area on this floor has handy cupboards containing plumbing for the washing machine etc. A second rear door takes you out to a patio area that’s a super spot for breakfast. This is a super spot to utilise the centres of Brockley, New Cross, Deptford and Greenwich. Blackheath, Peckham and Camberwell are also a short bus ride/drive/cycle. You’re also close to Goldsmiths University with Curzon public cinema. The lovely Greenwich Picturehouse is local, too.

Locally, we like Brockley’s glorious Saturday market, Browns of Brockley for coffee, The Brockley Deli, The Orchard and The Gantry. Deptford High Street has seriously upped its game of late with Deptford Market Yard offering a wonderful European vibe for socialising of an evening, and new restaurants Marcella and The Winemakers satisfying the gastronomic desires of locals and visitors alike. Also worthy of note is The Rivoli Ballroom and Hilly Fields Park.
