Having lived in the New Cross and South East London area since 1996, it’s safe to say I’m a big fan of the area. I love where I work and live and I think it’s an amazing community to be part of. And I’m not the only one: it’s an extremely popular area these days for a number of reasons and it’s increasing in popularity. The fact that it’s in Zone 2 but is still very affordable is a big draw, and this means it appeals to those looking to be close to central London for work and socialising, without the over-inflated property prices of other areas.
Equally, South East London’s brilliant schools and abundant green open spaces make it a magnet for families and the interesting mix of bars, restaurants and nightlife mean it appeals to all demographics.
